School of Biblical Studies

Dig into the details of God’s word while learning to see the big picture of God’s pursuit of mankind. He has a plan to redeem all things. See the Bible come to life and discover a greater story at work.

The School of Biblical Studies (SBS) encompasses a 9 month lecture phase where you will study all 66 books of the Bible and an 8 week field assignment where you will have the opportunity to apply and pass on what you have learnt. You will be transformed through personal reading and study of His word and know God more intimately. This school is about more than head knowledge. It will allow the Bible to shape what you believe about God, yourself and the world around you.

Accreditation

This School of Biblical Studies is offered as an accredited course recognised by the Australian Qualifications Framework and is registered as a Certificate IV in Bible Ministry (code 10822NAT).

Pre-requisites

Completion of the Discipleship Training School.

Foundational Teaching

As a student of the SBS, you can expect 3 hours of lectures 3 times a week where you will learn about the cultural and historical background relevant to each book’s author and original reader. Students will learn skills of observation, interpretation and application.

Apply what you’ve learned

In an atmosphere of intense learning and growth you will have the opportunity to share what you are learning through classroom discussions, creative presentations, student teachings and community outreach.

Be transformed

As you learn more about your Father through His word, you will discover more of your identity, leading you to release others into their God given destinies! You won’t stay the same after engaging with His heart!

Go and change the world

An outreach opportunity will be available after 9 months of study.
