Prerequisite
Successful completion of a YWAM Discipleship Training School (DTS) is required before applying for the SOSM.
Accreditation
The SOSM is recognised internationally within YWAM International's University of the Nations (U of N).
10/40 Window Focus
Teams focus on the 10/40 Window — the region from North Africa to East Asia where the gospel has the least reach — combining short outreaches and long-term work to plant churches and pioneer new missions among unengaged peoples.

How much does SOSM cost?
Course fees (AUD)
Course fees cover accommodation, meals, and teaching during the lecture phase in Wollongong. Fees are paid in stages — a deposit on acceptance, then instalments before outreach.
Outreach costs (AUD)
Outreach costs cover in-country transport, accommodation, and team expenses. International flights are not included and are arranged separately. Our staff will walk you through budgeting and support-raising — finances are never a barrier to going.
